Your guide to glass skin...

At IJV Aesthetics we are able to treat a variety of skin concerns. Whether you are suffering with acne, pigmentation, or want to rewind signs of ageing, we can create a bespoke plan to help address your skin’s needs.

We never use a “one size fits all” rule to treat our clients, as every individual’s skin is unique and will have different needs. Endless research has gone into our chosen skincare brands in order to achieve the best results for our clients.

Just fancy a little pamper?

Our Non-Prep facials are gentle on the skin, meaning that you do not need to start on any homecare prior to your treatment. These facials are perfect if you would like a pamper, and don’t have any major skin concerns to treat. These treatments have no downtime, so are perfect for an event or occasion.

No prior consultation is needed, however if you are unsure what to book then please get in touch with us- we are always happy to advise.

Trying to treat a specific skin concern?

These are our three steps to help treat any specific skin concerns that you may have, including acne, rosacea, pigmentation, signs of ageing, dry or dehydrated skin.

1

Step One: Skin Consultation

Our skin consultations are an opportunity for us to learn about your concerns, analyse your skin, and formulate a bespoke skincare plan just for you!

Your personalised plan will include homecare products which will help to treat your concerns while “prepping” the skin ready for in-clinic treatment.

Our consultations include a mini treatment so you can test the products for yourself.

We understand that your busy schedule as well as your financial budget can be a factor in deciding which plan is right for you. We will always work with you, to make sure your plan ticks every box.

2

Step Two: Starting your homecare

As part of your plan, you will be started on homecare products. Some clients may only have a homecare plan to treat concerns, while others will have homecare combined with in-salon treatments. Your homecare products will be tailored to your personal skin goals.

Your homecare products will help to maintain a healthy skin barrier and help to balance your skin’s PH ready for resurfacers or chemical peels (we call this “prep”). The duration of time that we need to “prep” your skin before in-clinic treatments will depend on your skin type. Usually it will be between 2-6 weeks.

3

Step Three: Starting in-clinic treatments

For some clients, their plan will include in-clinic treatments. Our in-clinic treatments can include Derrmaquest resurfacers, chemical peels, microneedling, or laser/IPL treatment.

Your therapist will advise you on which treatments will be most beneficial for your skin.

When treating specific skin concerns, we may include some of the following aesthetic treatments as part of your plan.

Dermaquest Resurfacer

A resurfacer uses acids and enzymes to exfoliate the dead and damaged skin cells. These treatments encourage cell turnover to reveal a healthier and brighten complexion. We offer a variety of resurfacer treatments, meaning there is a treatment for any skin concern. Resurfacers have less downtime.

Dermaquest Chemical Peel

A chemical peel uses a higher percentage of acid to treat more stubborn skin concerns. The acid that is chosen for peel will depend on your skin concerns. Chemical peels have more downtime, meaning skin shedding can be expected. Generally healing can take between 1-2 weeks.

Laser/IPL Skin Treatments

Laser can be used to treat small areas of pigmentation such as sun spots or age spots. It can also be used as part of a carbon facial to manage skin oiliness, and improve overall skin appearance.

Microneedling

Microneedling helps to minimise the appearance of pores, improve skin texture and scaring, and rejuvenate the skin to rewind signs of ageing.
